Our story

Brewing up something special

Craft beer comes with a little ingenuity, attention to detail, and lots of R&D. A few years back we started brewing out of a bucket on Super Bowl Sunday — feeling pretty good about the results, we dove right in.

We plotted a course to perfect a simple lineup of flagship beers with a variety of color, body, and traditional taste. Years of brewing later, Lotawana opened its flagship in the Grain Valley / Lake Lotawana community — a story of good friends, good beers, and making it happen.

The Duck Haus continues that spirit as a German-American scratch kitchen under the same roof: shareable plates, Kurzweil meats, beer pairings, and a gathering place built for slow nights.
